Product Description

51.2V 100Ah Rack Mounted Lithium Battery with CAN RS485 and LCD Display

Rack Battery Integration Starts with Electrical Compatibility

This 51.2V 100Ah rack mounted lithium battery provides 5.12kWh of nominal LiFePO4 energy for compatible solar inverters and energy storage systems. Its technical focus includes defined voltage limits, controlled charge and discharge current, local LCD monitoring and optional CAN or RS485 communication.

The battery should not be selected from capacity alone. The installer must confirm the inverter’s battery-voltage range, charging profile, maximum DC current, communication protocol and cable requirements before approving the system configuration.

CAN and RS485 are optional communication ports. Successful data exchange depends on the exact inverter model, supported protocol, firmware, communication-cable definition and equipment settings.

Four Technical Checks Before Connection

Verify the Battery Voltage Window

The inverter must support a nominal 51.2V battery and remain compatible with the complete 40.0–58.4Vdc operating range.

Configure the Charging Profile

The charging equipment should support the listed 56.0V floating-charge voltage and remain within the 50A continuous charge limit.

Calculate Continuous DC Demand

The inverter’s battery-side current must remain within the battery’s 100A continuous discharge limit.

Confirm the Communication Protocol

A CAN or RS485 port does not guarantee compatibility unless the protocol, wiring and equipment settings also match.

LCD Monitoring and BMS Protection

The integrated LCD provides local access to supported battery operating information. It can assist installers during commissioning and routine checks without changing the requirement for compatible inverter and battery settings.

The battery-management system includes overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, short-circuit and overtemperature protection. These functions help keep battery operation within the documented limits.

BMS protection does not replace correctly selected DC breakers, fuses, cables or disconnect devices. External system protection and installation workmanship remain important parts of the complete battery system.

Understand the Charge and Discharge Ratings

The maximum continuous charging current is 50A. This is a battery limit rather than a required charging value. A lower setting may be selected according to the inverter charger, available energy source and preferred charging time.

The maximum continuous discharge current is 100A. Cables, M6 terminals and DC protection devices should be selected according to the configured current, cable length, installation method and allowable voltage drop.

A pulse-discharge value of 150A is listed for one second. This temporary figure must not be used as the continuous battery-current rating or as a basis for undersized cables and protective devices.

Communication Is an Optional Configuration

Optional CAN or RS485 communication may allow supported battery information to be exchanged with a compatible inverter. The exact available data depends on the selected communication protocol and equipment configuration.

When communication compatibility has not been confirmed, installers should not assume that state-of-charge information, battery alarms or automatic charging control will be available.

Provide the inverter brand, exact model, firmware version and supported battery protocol before production when CAN or RS485 communication is required.

CAN RS485 Rack Battery FAQ

Are CAN and RS485 included as standard?

No. They are optional communication interfaces and should be specified when the ordered configuration is confirmed.

Will the communication ports work with every inverter?

No. The inverter protocol, firmware, cable definition and operating settings must be compatible with the battery.

What can be checked on the LCD display?

The LCD provides access to supported local battery operating information. The exact displayed data depends on the battery configuration.

Does BMS protection remove the need for a DC breaker?

No. Suitable external protection, disconnect equipment, cables and terminals are still required for the complete system.

What inverter information is required for compatibility checking?

Provide the inverter brand, exact model, firmware, battery-voltage range, charging-current limit and supported CAN or RS485 protocol.

Communication and Inverter Matching Review

A pre-order review can confirm the inverter voltage range, charging settings, discharge demand, communication protocol and required battery interfaces.
