This 12.8V 100Ah IP65 LiFePO4 battery is designed for compatible low-voltage inverter and UPS systems that require a compact 1.28kWh battery with clearly defined charge and discharge limits.

Electrical Matching Comes Before Inverter Power

Battery capacity and inverter power describe different parts of the system. The 1.28kWh energy rating indicates how much nominal energy is stored, while the inverter rating determines the available AC output.

The inverter’s battery-side current must remain compatible with the 100A continuous discharge limit. A higher-wattage inverter may exceed this current at low battery voltage even when the connected AC load appears moderate.

Voltage Requirement

The connected equipment must support a 12.8V lithium battery operating between 10.0V and 14.6Vdc.

Charging Requirement

Continuous charging should not exceed 50A, and the charging profile should support a 14.0V floating-charge setting.

Current Planning for DC Loads

The battery supports 100A of continuous discharge. Battery cables, M8 terminals, breakers and fuses should be selected according to the configured current, cable length and allowable voltage drop.

A 150A pulse rating is listed for one second. This temporary value may accommodate a brief compatible demand, but it should not be used as the continuous design current.

Motor-driven loads can require temporary startup current. Their suitability must be checked against the inverter surge capability and the battery’s pulse limit.

BMS Protection and External Protection

The battery-management system includes overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, short-circuit and overtemperature protection. These functions help keep battery operation within its documented limits.

BMS protection does not replace a correctly rated external fuse, breaker or disconnect device. External protection and appropriate cable sizing remain necessary.

Can the battery work with any 12V inverter?

No. The inverter voltage window, charging profile and maximum battery current must be compatible.

Is 100A the recommended discharge current?

It is the maximum continuous battery limit. The actual current may be lower according to the system design.

Can the battery support a motor load?

Only after the motor startup demand, inverter surge rating and one-second battery pulse limit are checked.

Does IP65 protect the terminal connection automatically?

No. Terminal covers, cable lugs and external connections still require appropriate protection.

What inverter data should be submitted?

Provide the inverter model, battery-voltage range, maximum charge current and expected continuous load.
