Hybrid Solar Inverter for Self-Consumption and Home Backup

This 3kW 48V hybrid solar inverter combines grid-connected solar operation, battery storage and a dedicated backup output in one compact system. It is designed for homes, apartments, small offices and other sites that want to use more rooftop solar energy while maintaining selected loads during a utility interruption.

The on-grid AC output is rated at 3kW, while the backup output also provides up to 3kW for compatible priority circuits. A transfer time of less than 20ms helps the system change to backup operation when the grid supply is unavailable.

Two independent MPPT trackers allow suitable photovoltaic strings to be arranged on different roof sections or orientations. This makes the inverter practical for residential roofs where panel direction, shading or available installation space may vary.

Dual MPPT and Outdoor Project Advantages

4.5kW Solar Array Support

The inverter accepts up to 4.5kW of photovoltaic input for daytime load supply and battery charging within the approved electrical limits.

Two Independent MPPT Trackers

Each MPPT input supports one suitable solar string with a listed input-current limit of 19A.

Dedicated Backup Output

Essential lighting, refrigeration, routers, security equipment and selected office devices can be placed on the backup circuit.

IP66 Enclosure

The enclosure supports protected outdoor installation when cable glands, clearances and mounting requirements are correctly followed.

PV String and Backup Load Planning

The MPPT operating range is 80–520Vdc, with a 90Vdc startup voltage and a 550Vdc maximum photovoltaic open-circuit voltage. The full-power MPPT range for this 3kW version is listed as 117–500Vdc.

Each MPPT input is rated for up to 19A, with a listed short-circuit-current limit of 25A. Solar string design should therefore consider panel operating voltage, open-circuit voltage, current and cold-weather voltage rise.

The backup output should be connected to selected priority circuits rather than every electrical load in the building. Appliances with motors or compressors must be checked for startup demand and overload requirements.

Battery capacity determines the expected backup duration. The inverter’s 3kW output rating determines how much compatible equipment can operate at the same time.
