215kWh Liquid Cooled Commercial BESS for EPC Site Installation and C&I Energy Storage Cabinet Projects
215kWh Liquid Cooled Commercial BESS for EPC Site Installation
Installing a commercial battery energy storage system requires more than selecting the right battery capacity. Equipment access, foundation preparation, AC connections and system commissioning all influence project delivery.
The Voltertech BESS-215KWH-105KW-W is a 215kWh liquid-cooled commercial energy storage system designed for EPC contractors, solar installers and energy storage integrators. Its cabinet-based configuration combines high-voltage LiFePO4 battery storage, liquid cooling and communication interfaces for commercial and industrial energy projects.
Planning the Installation Site
The storage cabinet measures 1400 × 1385 × 2203mm and weighs approximately 2500kg. These dimensions should be considered early in the project design, particularly when equipment must pass through existing gates, loading areas or restricted access routes.
Installation planning should include a suitable foundation, lifting arrangements, cable access and sufficient maintenance clearance. Final positioning must follow the manufacturer's installation requirements and the site's structural conditions.
IP54 Cabinet and Liquid Cooling
The system features an IP54-rated enclosure and liquid cooling for battery thermal management. Its specified operating temperature range is -20°C to +60°C.
IP54 protection should not be interpreted as unrestricted outdoor suitability. Exposure to weather, drainage, ambient conditions and maintenance access must be assessed before installation. The liquid cooling system should also be inspected and commissioned according to the approved technical documentation.
AC Connection and Electrical Integration
The supplied specification lists a 230/400V AC interface with 50/60Hz grid frequency. The battery section operates at 768V nominal voltage, with a specified operating range of 648–864V.
Before connecting the BESS, the project engineer should review the site's electrical single-line diagram, transformer arrangement, protection devices and applicable grid connection requirements.
The final PCS power configuration must be verified against the approved order specification before equipment selection and electrical design are completed.
Communication and Commissioning
LAN, RS485 and CAN communication interfaces are listed in the system specification. These provide connection options for compatible battery management, power conversion and project monitoring equipment.
Supported communication protocols, control functions and monitoring arrangements should be confirmed during engineering review. A commissioning plan should cover electrical inspections, communication checks, protection settings and operating tests before handover.

Commercial Energy Storage Project Applications
The system can be evaluated for factory energy management, commercial solar storage, warehouse facilities and other industrial energy projects. Actual suitability depends on site demand, electrical infrastructure, energy management objectives and the selected PCS configuration.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What site information is needed before installing the BESS?
Provide the available installation area, access dimensions, ground or foundation conditions, electrical single-line diagram and grid connection details.
2. Does the 2500kg cabinet require a special foundation?
The supporting structure must be evaluated for the equipment weight and installation conditions. Foundation requirements should be confirmed by the project engineer and equipment supplier.
3. Can this IP54 battery cabinet be installed outdoors?
The installation must follow the manufacturer's approved environmental requirements. IP54 alone does not confirm suitability for continuous exposure to rain or severe weather.
4. Can the BESS connect to an existing commercial solar system?
Potential integration depends on the existing electrical architecture, PCS configuration, system controls and grid requirements. A project-specific compatibility review is necessary.
5. What documents are useful for an EPC quotation?
A site layout, electrical single-line diagram, load profile, grid specifications and project application description will help clarify equipment and integration requirements.
