51.2V 280Ah Residential Lithium Battery with 14.34kWh Home Storage

This residential lithium battery provides 14.336kWh of nominal LiFePO4 energy from a 51.2V 280Ah configuration. It is intended as the battery-storage section of a compatible home solar, backup or off-grid energy system.

The capacity can be considered for homes that need to support a defined group of essential circuits for longer periods than a typical 5kWh or 10kWh battery. It does not automatically mean that every household appliance can operate simultaneously.

What 14.34kWh Means in a Home Energy Plan

The 14.336kWh figure represents nominal stored DC energy. Available AC energy will be lower after inverter conversion efficiency, battery settings, cable losses, temperature and the selected discharge limits are considered.

A residential energy calculation should begin with the average power and required operating time of each selected load. The inverter power rating and the battery energy rating must be calculated separately.

Essential Continuous Loads

Lighting, routers, security systems and selected communication equipment should be calculated from their average power and required backup hours.

Intermittent Household Loads

Refrigerators, pumps and similar equipment should be assessed using their duty cycle and temporary startup demand.

Optional High-Consumption Loads

Electric heating, cooking appliances and large air conditioners may need separate load management when longer backup duration is required.

Solar Charging and Inverter Compatibility

The inverter must support a nominal 51.2V lithium battery and the complete 40.0–58.4Vdc operating range. The charging profile should support the listed 56.0V floating-charge voltage.

The battery supports up to 200A continuous charging. Actual solar charging current may be lower according to the inverter charger, available PV energy, generator output or preferred charging period.

Continuous discharge is also limited to 200A. The inverter’s battery-side current should be checked at the lowest expected battery voltage and maximum planned household load.

Optional Communication in a Residential System

Optional CAN or RS485 communication may support data exchange with selected hybrid or off-grid inverters. Compatibility depends on the inverter model, firmware, protocol and communication-cable definition.

An optional LCD can provide access to supported local battery information. Neither the presence of a communication connector nor an LCD confirms compatibility with every inverter.

The battery is rated IP20 and requires a dry indoor technical area with suitable floor support and protection from condensation.

Can this battery run every appliance in a house?

That depends on the inverter output, appliance startup demand, simultaneous loads and required operating time.

Does 14.34kWh equal the usable AC energy?

No. It is nominal DC energy. Conversion losses and system settings reduce the energy available to AC loads.

Are CAN and RS485 standard?

No. They are optional communication interfaces and should be confirmed before production.

Can the battery be installed outdoors?

No outdoor claim should be made. The IP20 enclosure requires a dry indoor technical location.

What information is needed for residential sizing?

Provide the household load list, operating hours, inverter rating, solar-array size and required backup period.
