High - Power Home Battery System for Villa Solar Projects

This 12kW 20kWh residential energy storage system is designed for villas, larger homes and residential properties that require higher output power together with a practical battery reserve for solar self-consumption and backup operation.

The battery bank provides 20kWh of rated storage and approximately 18kWh of usable energy at 90% depth of discharge. Four stackable battery modules make the system easier to transport and position than one large integrated battery cabinet.

With 12kW continuous output and 24kVA short-duration surge power, the system can be considered for homes with refrigerators, lighting, communication equipment, security systems, home-office devices and compatible motor-driven loads.

Residential Energy Use Throughout the Day

Daytime Solar Consumption Photovoltaic generation can support compatible household loads while surplus solar energy charges the battery.
Evening Battery Use Stored energy can supply selected household circuits after solar production decreases.
Utility Outage Backup Essential loads can remain on a priority output while flexible appliances are managed separately.
Low-Solar Energy Recovery Compatible utility input or a generator can provide an additional charging source during poor weather or extended outages.

Villa Load Planning and Dual AC Output

The dual AC output can help installers separate essential household circuits from flexible loads. Refrigeration, lighting, routers, security equipment, gates and selected office devices can be assigned to the priority output.

Air conditioners, water pumps and compressors require additional assessment because their startup demand may be significantly higher than their normal running power. The 24kVA surge rating provides short-duration starting headroom, but continuous output remains 12kW.

The 18kWh usable battery reserve does not represent a fixed number of backup hours. Actual operating time depends on the average active load, inverter efficiency, battery reserve settings, temperature and available solar charging.

Residential Sizing Note: The inverter power determines how many compatible loads can operate at the same time, while the battery capacity determines how long those loads can operate.

Dual MPPT Solar Charging

The built-in solar charger supports up to 9kW of photovoltaic input with one MPPT or up to 15kW when both MPPT channels are used. Dual MPPT can support suitable solar strings installed on separate roof areas or different orientations.

Each solar string must remain within the approved current and voltage limits. The final array size should be selected according to local sunlight, daytime household consumption and the required battery-recovery time.

  • Keep the MPPT operating voltage within 90–485Vdc.
  • Keep PV open-circuit voltage below 500Vdc.
  • Calculate cold-weather string voltage before installation.
  • Confirm cable size, DC isolation and protection devices.
