6kW 10kWh Residential Energy Storage System For Scalable Home Backup
6kW 10kWh Residential Energy Storage System for Scalable Home Backup
Residential Solar Storage with Future Expansion Potential
This 6kW 10kWh residential energy storage system combines an inverter, battery storage, MPPT solar charging, LCD control and WiFi monitoring within one integrated cabinet.
It provides 10kWh of rated battery energy and approximately 9kWh of usable energy at 90% depth of discharge. The system is suitable for residential solar self-consumption, selected household backup circuits and areas with an unstable electricity supply.
Parallel operation support also allows qualified installers to consider future system expansion when household storage requirements or backup loads increase.
Daily Residential Energy Management
Available photovoltaic generation can supply compatible household loads during daylight hours according to the selected operating settings.
Solar energy can charge the battery for later use when household demand continues after photovoltaic generation decreases.
During a temporary grid interruption, the system can supply compatible household equipment connected to the selected backup circuits.
WiFi monitoring and the local LCD interface provide access to available system status, battery information and operating data.
Household Backup Load Planning
The 6kW inverter rating determines the combined continuous power that can be supplied at one time. The 10kWh battery capacity determines the expected operating duration.
Lighting and Communication
Compatible LED lighting, routers, communication equipment, mobile-device charging and security devices can be considered for an essential household circuit.
Refrigeration and Daily Appliances
Refrigerators, televisions and selected household appliances may be supported when their running power and startup demand remain within the system limits.
Home Office Equipment
Computers, monitors, network devices and communication equipment can be grouped into a home-office backup circuit after the combined load has been calculated.
Pumps, refrigerators, air conditioners and other motor-driven equipment may require higher startup power. Their running and surge demand should be checked before installation.
Planning Future Residential Expansion
A single 10kWh unit can be used as the initial residential storage platform. Parallel support provides a path for future expansion when additional compatible units are required.
Before expanding the system, installers should review the required output power, total storage capacity, electrical protection, cable specifications, available installation space and communication configuration.
- Confirm whether the project requires additional energy, additional output power or both.
- Use compatible units and approved parallel communication settings.
- Recalculate AC cable and protective-device requirements.
- Provide sufficient floor space and ventilation clearance.
- Complete parallel configuration through a qualified installer.

Residential Solar Array Planning
The integrated MPPT charger supports photovoltaic input up to 9000W and 27A. The MPPT operating range is 80–450Vdc, and the maximum photovoltaic open-circuit voltage is 500Vdc.
- Calculate the complete photovoltaic string open-circuit voltage before installation.
- Allow for panel voltage increases during low-temperature conditions.
- Keep operating voltage within the 80–450Vdc MPPT range.
- Keep total photovoltaic input current within the 27A limit.
- Confirm cable size, polarity, connectors and protective devices.
- Use a qualified installer for photovoltaic and household circuit configuration.
Residential Installation Checklist
- Install the IP20 cabinet in a dry indoor or protected technical area.
- Provide stable floor support suitable for the 118kg net weight.
- Maintain sufficient ventilation, wiring and service clearance.
- Confirm household voltage and frequency before ordering.
- Separate essential circuits from incompatible high-power loads.
- Apply output derating when the installation altitude exceeds 1000m.
Residential Energy Storage FAQ
Is this system suitable for whole-home backup?
Whole-home suitability depends on the total continuous household demand, appliance startup power and required backup duration. Selected essential circuits are generally easier to configure within the 6kW output limit.
How much battery energy is available for use?
The system provides approximately 9kWh of usable battery energy when operated at 90% depth of discharge.
Can the residential system be expanded later?
Parallel operation is supported. The approved quantity, communication method, output arrangement and protection requirements should be confirmed for the final project.
Can it support refrigerators, pumps or air conditioners?
Selected motor-driven appliances may be compatible when their normal operating power and startup demand remain within the inverter rating and overload limits.
Can the cabinet be installed outdoors?
The enclosure is rated IP20 and should be installed in a dry indoor or protected technical area. It is not presented as a weatherproof outdoor product.
What project information is needed before quotation?
Provide the installation country, household voltage, backup-load list, required operating time, solar panel specifications, initial quantity and future expansion requirements.
