A 4kWh-Class Battery for Longer Low-Voltage Backup Plans

This 12.8V 314Ah LiFePO4 battery has a listed nominal energy of 4019Wh, commonly expressed as approximately 4.02kWh. It is designed for compatible backup, solar-storage, inverter and UPS projects that require a larger energy reserve within a 12V-class battery system.

Compared with a 100Ah, 200Ah or 280Ah battery at the same nominal voltage, the 314Ah configuration provides a higher stored-energy capacity. This can support a longer operating target when the load and system settings remain comparable.

Build the Backup Plan in Three Layers

Layer 1: Essential Continuous Loads

List equipment that must operate throughout the backup period, such as communication and security devices.

Layer 2: Intermittent Loads

Estimate the duty time of refrigeration, pumps or other equipment that switches on and off.

Layer 3: Optional High-Consumption Loads

Separate loads that can be disconnected when longer backup duration is more important than simultaneous operation.

Stored Energy Is Not the Same as AC Output

The 4.02kWh value describes nominal stored DC energy. The inverter determines maximum AC output power, while usable energy is influenced by inverter conversion losses, battery settings, temperature and cable resistance.

A large-capacity battery connected to an undersized inverter cannot run loads beyond the inverter rating. Similarly, a high-power inverter may demand more current than the battery can supply continuously.

Battery Placement and Handling

The product measures 523 × 269 × 218mm and weighs 27.2kg net. The supporting surface should remain stable and provide access for cable connection and inspection.

The package measures 543 × 289 × 268mm and weighs 28.7kg gross. These values are useful for transport cartons, pallet loading and site handling preparation.

The IP65 enclosure supports protected technical installations, but the battery must not be immersed and all external electrical connections require appropriate protection.
