A Higher-Capacity Battery Module for Rack-Based Storage Systems

This 14.34kWh rack mounted LiFePO4 battery combines a nominal voltage of 51.2V with a rated capacity of 280Ah. Its formal energy rating is 14336Wh, providing a larger module-level storage capacity than common 5.12kWh and 10.24kWh rack batteries.

The product is designed as the battery section of a compatible solar energy storage, backup or off-grid system. It does not contain an integrated inverter. The inverter, DC protection equipment, battery cables and suitable rack or supporting cabinet must be planned separately.

With dimensions of 745 × 440 × 240mm and a net weight of 118kg, the battery requires more structural support and handling preparation than a smaller rack module. Rack load capacity, shelf design, cable access and maintenance clearance should be checked before ordering.

Select the Battery from Energy Demand, Not Capacity Alone

The required storage capacity should be calculated from the average load and planned operating time. Lighting, communication equipment, refrigeration, security devices and other priority circuits should be listed separately.

The 14.336kWh rating represents nominal stored DC energy. The energy delivered to AC loads will also depend on inverter efficiency, discharge settings, operating temperature, cable losses and the protection limits configured in the complete system.

Equipment with compressors, pumps or motors may have a temporary startup demand. The inverter output capability and battery-side current must therefore be evaluated independently from the stored-energy calculation.

Rack Load, Handling and Cable Access

The rack, shelf or supporting cabinet must safely carry the 118kg battery module. The support structure should also allow the product to be inserted, secured, inspected and removed without placing excessive load on unsupported rack components.

The 440mm enclosure width does not automatically mean that the battery fits every standard rack. Internal cabinet width, mounting method, rail position, connector clearance and rear cable space must all be reviewed.

The battery uses M8 terminals. Suitable cable lugs, conductor sizes, DC protection and secure mechanical connections are required. Cable routing should remain practical and should not block ventilation or maintenance access.

The IP20 enclosure requires a dry indoor technical location protected from rain, condensation, direct sunlight, excessive dust and nearby heat sources.
