Product Description

51.2V 100Ah Modular Home Battery with CAN RS485 for Hybrid Inverter Systems

Select the Home Battery from the Inverter Requirements

This 51.2V 100Ah modular home battery is intended for installers and distributors building residential energy storage systems around compatible hybrid or off-grid inverters. The battery provides 5.12kWh of nominal energy and uses a stackable cabinet format for flexible residential project planning.

The battery should not be selected from the 5.12kWh energy value alone. A correct residential energy storage system also requires compatible voltage settings, charging current, discharge demand, communication protocol, DC protection and battery-cable design.

Optional CAN and RS485 interfaces are available for compatible inverter communication. The battery also includes an LCD display for local operating information, but communication compatibility must still be confirmed for the exact inverter model.

Four Points to Confirm Before System Integration

Check the Complete Voltage Window

The inverter must support a nominal 51.2V lithium battery and remain compatible with the complete 40.0–58.4Vdc operating range.

Set the Charging Current Correctly

Continuous charging current must remain at or below 50A and the charging profile should support the listed 56.0V floating-charge voltage.

Calculate the Inverter’s DC Demand

Continuous battery-side demand must remain within the 100A discharge limit and the selected cables and protection devices must be suitable.

Verify CAN or RS485 Compatibility

Successful communication requires a supported protocol, correct cable pin definition, suitable firmware and matching equipment settings.

BMS Protection for Residential Battery Operation

The integrated battery-management system includes protection functions for overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, short-circuit and overtemperature conditions. These functions help keep operation within the battery’s documented limits.

BMS protection does not replace correct system design. Inverter settings, DC breakers, fuses, cable size, terminals and installation conditions must still be selected according to the expected continuous current.

The battery can provide a listed pulse current of 150A for one second. This value is intended for brief compatible demand and must not be treated as the 100A continuous discharge rating.

CAN RS485 Communication in a Home Energy Storage System

CAN or RS485 communication may allow supported operating information to be exchanged between the battery and inverter. The available information depends on the communication protocol and the configuration of both devices.

When compatibility has not been confirmed, installers should not assume that state-of-charge data, battery alarms or automatic charging control will be available. Electrical voltage and current settings must remain compatible even without communication.

CAN and RS485 are optional interfaces. Confirm the inverter brand, exact model, firmware and required communication cable before production.

Hybrid Inverter Battery FAQ

Will CAN or RS485 work with every hybrid inverter?

No. The protocol, cable definition, firmware and configuration settings must be compatible with the exact inverter model.

Is the CAN RS485 interface included as standard?

The communication interfaces are listed as optional and should be specified when the order configuration is confirmed.

Is the LCD display included with the battery?

The specification lists an LCD display for local battery information. The required display and communication configuration should still be confirmed before ordering.

Can the battery continuously provide 150A?

No. The maximum continuous discharge current is 100A. The 150A value applies only to a one-second pulse.

What inverter details are required for compatibility checking?

Provide the inverter brand, exact model, firmware, battery-voltage range, charging-current limit and supported battery protocol.

Battery and Inverter Matching Review

A pre-order review can help confirm the inverter voltage range, charging setting, discharge demand, communication protocol and required optional interfaces.
