A Current-Limited Battery for Defined 25.6V Applications

This 25.6V 100Ah IP65 lithium battery provides 2.56kWh of nominal LiFePO4 energy. It is intended for storage applications where the charger, inverter and connected DC loads can operate within a 50A charging limit and 100A continuous discharge limit.

Start with the Maximum Continuous Load

The continuous output limit is 100A. The connected inverter or DC load should be checked at the lowest expected battery voltage and highest planned operating power.

The 150A specification applies for one second only. It should not be treated as the normal output or used as the primary cable-sizing value.

Continuous Operation

Plan cables, protection and terminal connections around the expected continuous current.

Brief Load Events

Check startup-current duration against both the inverter capability and the one-second battery pulse limit.

Charging Equipment Requirements

The battery supports up to 50A of continuous charging and uses a listed 28.0V floating-charge setting. The charger should use a compatible lithium profile.

A lower charging current may be selected according to the available solar input, charger output and desired charging time. The maximum value does not need to be used in every installation.

Connection and Protection

The battery uses M8 terminals. Suitable lugs, cable cross-sections and torque procedures should be used to create a stable low-resistance connection.

The BMS provides overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, short-circuit and overtemperature protection. External fuses or breakers are still required for cable and system protection.

Confirm the final low-voltage and charging settings for the selected inverter before commissioning.

Can it power a 25.6V DC load directly?

Only when the equipment voltage range and current demand are compatible with the battery.

Can it continuously supply 150A?

No. The continuous limit is 100A.

Is a 28V charger suitable automatically?

The full charger profile and current behavior must be reviewed, not only the nominal voltage label.

Does the BMS protect the cables?

External protection should be selected to protect the cables and system components.
