Product Description

51.2V 200Ah Floor Standing Lithium Battery with CAN RS485 for Inverter Systems

Battery Integration for Compatible Hybrid and Off-Grid Inverters

This 51.2V 200Ah floor standing lithium battery is designed for compatible hybrid inverters, off-grid inverters and residential solar-storage systems that require a defined battery-voltage range, higher continuous discharge capability and optional communication functions.

The battery provides 10.24kWh of nominal energy through its 51.2V and 200Ah electrical configuration. However, inverter compatibility should not be evaluated from battery capacity alone. The installer must also verify charging voltage, battery-current demand, communication protocol, DC cable requirements and installation conditions.

Optional CAN and RS485 interfaces can support data exchange with selected inverter systems. Successful communication depends on the inverter model, supported protocol, firmware, cable pin definition and configuration settings rather than the communication-port name alone.

Four Compatibility Checks Before Ordering

Check 1: Battery-Voltage Range

The inverter must support a nominal 51.2V lithium battery and remain compatible with the complete 40.0–58.4Vdc operating window.

Check 2: Charging Parameters

The inverter or external charger should support the listed 56.0V floating-charge setting and keep continuous charging current at or below 100A.

Check 3: Battery-Side Current

The battery supports up to 200A of continuous discharge. The inverter, DC cables, terminals and protective devices must remain suitable for the planned current.

Check 4: CAN or RS485 Protocol

Communication requires a supported protocol, correct cable wiring and compatible settings on both the battery and inverter.

Plan the DC System Around the 200A Continuous Rating

The 200A continuous discharge rating should be compared with the inverter’s maximum battery-side current. This is important because a low-voltage battery system may require substantial DC current when supporting a higher-power inverter.

Battery cables should be selected according to the configured current, cable length, installation method, allowable voltage drop and operating temperature. The M8 battery terminals require correctly sized cable lugs and secure mechanical connections.

DC breakers, fuses, disconnect devices and any intermediate busbars must also be suitable for the planned continuous current. CAN or RS485 communication does not replace correct electrical design or protective-device selection.

Understand the 300A Pulse Specification

The battery has a listed pulse-discharge capability of 300A for one second. This value may provide temporary current headroom for a compatible short-duration demand, but it must not be used as the continuous operating rating.

Continuous-current cables, terminals, breakers and fuses should therefore be selected around the 200A continuous rating and applicable installation requirements. The one-second pulse value should not be used to justify undersized DC components.

Optional CAN RS485 and LCD Configuration

CAN and RS485 are optional communication interfaces. An optional LCD can also provide local access to supported battery operating information. The required interfaces should be specified clearly before the order is confirmed.

When protocol compatibility has not been verified, installers should not assume that state-of-charge information, alarms or automatic charging control will be exchanged with the inverter. Compatible voltage and current settings must still be configured.

Provide the inverter brand, exact model, firmware version and supported battery protocol before production when CAN or RS485 communication is required.

Inverter Battery Compatibility FAQ

Does CAN or RS485 work with every inverter?

No. Compatibility depends on the supported protocol, inverter firmware, communication-cable definition and configuration settings.

What inverter information is needed before ordering?

Provide the inverter brand, exact model, battery-voltage range, maximum charging current, firmware version and supported communication protocol.

Can this battery connect to any inverter power rating?

No. The inverter’s maximum battery-side current must remain compatible with the battery’s 200A continuous limit and the selected DC components.

Is the LCD included with every battery?

The LCD is listed as an optional configuration and should be included in the order requirements when local battery information is needed.

Can the battery be installed outdoors?

No outdoor claim should be made. The IP20 enclosure requires a dry, protected and non-condensing indoor installation location.

Pre-Order Inverter Compatibility Review

A technical review can help confirm the inverter voltage window, charging-current setting, maximum discharge demand, communication protocol and optional interface requirements before production.
