This compact LiFePO4 battery provides 1280Wh of nominal energy through a 12.8V and 100Ah electrical configuration. It is suitable for compatible solar backup, inverter, UPS and lead-acid replacement projects that require a manageable battery size and defined DC current limits.

The battery uses a plastic enclosure measuring 331 × 171 × 218mm and weighs 10kg net. Its compact footprint makes it practical for projects where available equipment space, handling weight and cable access are important purchasing considerations.

Planning a 12V Lead Acid Battery Replacement

A 12.8V LiFePO4 battery may be considered as an alternative to a compatible 12V lead-acid battery, but physical size alone does not confirm suitability. The connected charger, inverter or UPS must support the lithium battery’s charging voltage, operating range and current limits.

Check the Charging Profile

The charging equipment should support a 14.0V floating-charge setting and remain within the 50A continuous charging limit.

Confirm the Battery Compartment

Compare the battery dimensions, terminal position, cable route and available ventilation space with the original installation.

Review Maximum DC Demand

Continuous load current must remain within the 100A discharge limit, while the 150A rating applies for one second only.

Using 1.28kWh for Backup Planning

The 1.28kWh value represents nominal stored DC energy. Actual backup time depends on the average connected load, inverter efficiency, configured discharge limits, cable losses and operating temperature.

Small communication devices, lighting, security equipment and selected low-power electronics generally create a different runtime profile from pumps, heating equipment or motor-driven appliances. The intended loads should therefore be listed before battery capacity is approved.

This battery does not include an inverter or charger. Those components, together with suitable DC protection and cables, must be selected separately.

Enclosure and Installation Considerations

The IP65 enclosure supports use in protected technical locations where dust and occasional water exposure may be present. The battery should not be immersed, and the terminals, cable connections and external protection equipment still require suitable installation protection.

The operating temperature range is -10°C to 50°C. Avoid locations with condensation, excessive heat, direct sunlight or poor airflow around connected equipment.

Can it directly replace any 12V lead-acid battery?

No. Charger settings, voltage range, current demand, physical dimensions and terminal arrangement must all be checked first.

Does the battery include a charger?

No. A compatible lithium-battery charger, inverter charger or UPS charging system is required separately.

Can it continuously discharge at 150A?

No. Continuous discharge is limited to 100A. The 150A rating applies for one second.

Is IP65 the same as waterproof?

No. The enclosure is not intended for immersion, and exposed terminals and cable connections still require protection.

What information is required for replacement checking?
